Fwd: seeking volunteers for a research project

Hi everyone,

We are conducting a research project to help assess the effectiveness
of our storm drain markers. We are currently looking for volunteers in
communities that meet our profile. Volunteers would be asked to mark
the drains in the target area of the community and place door hangers at
each property in the target area. Target areas will amount to a few
average blocks. But there are a few conditions we need to meet.

The communities must be in unincorporated Hillsborough County in the
southeastern areas (we already have plenty of volunteers in the NE).
The community must have public drainage and no gates. And the drains
cannot be marked already. Community drains need to have at least one
discharge point where someone can access the outfall to make some
assessments. (For example a pond that fronts on a road, or where the
volunteer owns the property at the outfall such that an intern from our
program can access the outfall without hassle.) The volunteer must be
able to mark all the subject drains and pass out all the necessary
hangers within two weeks of being notified to proceed.

If you would like to volunteer and feel that your situation matches the
conditions I've described please contact me to discuss it further. This
will really be a very simple and enjoyable project for the volunteer,
and it's a great opportunity for community service hours or to simply be
a part of improving your neighborhood.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks,
John.
