There will be a butterfly monitoring training class on Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 9am- 3pm (for more on the Florida Butterfly Monitoring Network, visit http://www.flbutterflies.net/locations.jsp?County=Hillsborough ). It is a 6 hr class that includes butterfly identification and project protocols conducted by a researcher from UF, Dr. Akers Pence, but you must commit to doing monthly monitoring at a local preserve, either Camp Bayou or Cockroach Bay.
