“Year of Science 2009”

Find out what it’s like to be a citizen scientist in your own community at the Citizen Science Symposium, March 20–21, 2009, from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Hands-on activities, trail walks, displays and seminars will be offered throughout the event, exploring the citizen science for butterflies, birds, aquatic invertebrates, frogs, plants and more. A booklet will be provided to each registrant as a companion guide to the various areas of the Symposium.

The event admission is FREE for pre-registered participants only. There is a $5 admission charge for those who have not pre-registered. Guests also have the option to participate in the ‘Science of Food’ lunch for a small fee. To pre-register, visit www.campbayou.org and click on the “Citizen Science Symposium” link. If you are unable to register online, call Dolly at (813) 363-5438 for alternate registration procedures.
